Silver Mile Bubble Bash — May 5, 2018
9am start @ Penn High School
MISHAWAKA, IN—We’ve done color. We’ve glowed. We’ve donned our super hero costumes. And we’ve run from the zombies. But Michiana has yet to experience the latest of the national fun-run crazes – foam!!
This year, P-H-M Education Foundation is bringing bubbles to its annual Silver Mile Run for Education event hosted at Penn High School on Saturday, May 5. The non-timed Bubble Bash is a high-energy walk (or trot) created especially for families with children of all ages. Teens and adults, it seems, also can’t quite pass by the chance to dress up and act like a kid in a bubble bath again.
The professional foaming machines will be at several locations on the route along with other bubbly stations along the way. “We’re using the Foamalicious brand of bubbles that produce a 100 percent naturally organic, gluten and toxic free foam,” said co-race director Brad Meier.
“This year, we changed our traditional timed 5K to an event that will welcome all families and teens to participate. It’s really about giving people a way to soak up a morning of fitness fun.”
The Bubble Bash starts at 9am and is followed by a festive Summer Family Fitness Expo (a resource for summer activities for families and children,) Silent Auction and extensive Health Fair sponsored by Saint Joseph Health System and offering complimentary health screenings.
