GRANGER, IN —A late-May tradition! Friends of Granger Paths is hosting its 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk/Run on Sunday, May 20. It’s a fast, flat, fun course that take runners and walkers along the wide, paved (and yes beautiful) Granger Paths, as well as through area neighborhoods. Many local businesses proudly support this event each year, and add to the festivity with their presence at the annual expo.

Returning to this year’s event—and back by popular demand—are age group awards. Age groups will be in five-year increments with awards also for top three male and female finishers overall. First place finisher in each age group for males and females will receive an award. Second and third place finishers in each age group for males and females will also receive recognition!

FGP works to advocate for and build multi-use paths in Granger and St. Joe County. Because of strong and continuing support from community members, FGP has paths along Adams Road, SR 23, and Gumwood Road. Proceeds from this run/walk will go toward expanding paths throughout Granger. But where will that be? Will we go east? Will we go west? Or will we go south? Stay tuned!

Enjoy a Sunday morning run and show your support for a more connected community on Sunday May 20th. It starts at Northpoint Elementary school, 50800 Cherry Rd, Granger, IN 46530.
