SYRACUSE, IN—It’s a new weekend for the 9th annual Tour des Lakes, but it is the same wonderfully scenic, well-planned ride event for cyclists who come annually from throughout the region. In 2011, the event was organized to show off the natural beauty of Kosciusko County and also raise funds for the continued growth of the Syracuse-Wawasee Trail System. That spirit continues today with the yearly growth of the event.

Three route options—25K, 50K, and 100K (most popular) —guide riders around multiple beautiful lakes, including Lake Wawasee, Webster Lake, Chapman Lake, Winona Lake and Tippecanoe Lake. SAG stops will keep riders refueled and refreshed before the ride’s-end lunch at the Syracuse Community Center. Between the lakes, cyclists will enjoy quiet countryside roads and travel through quaint small towns.

Organizers are also excited to present the family-friendly Tour des Parks Scavenger Ride, which will highlight several beautiful parks within the Town of Syracuse. Following the ride there will be food trucks, a beer garden, and live music by Adam Baker and the Heartache and the duo Beez and Rocker.

As always, a portion of the proceeds are used for the continued growth of the Syracuse-Wawasee Trail System.
